We accept most PPO dental insurance plans and are in-network with many major PPO providers. Because insurance coverage and network participation can vary by plan and may change over time, we recommend providing your insurance information when scheduling your appointment.

Understanding Your Dental Insurance

Common Terms to Know

Dental insurance can be difficult to navigate, especially when you are receiving specialized treatment. Understanding a few common terms can help you know what to expect.

Deductible

The amount you may need to pay before your insurance begins contributing toward eligible services.

Coinsurance

The portion of a covered service that you are responsible for after applicable deductibles have been met.

Annual Maximum

The maximum amount your dental plan will pay toward covered dental care during a benefit year. Once that limit has been reached, additional treatment may be your responsibility unless your plan provides additional benefits.

Plan Allowance

The amount your insurance plan recognizes or allows for a particular procedure. This amount may differ from the provider’s actual fee.

Waiting Period or Coverage Limitation

Some plans place restrictions on when certain services become eligible for benefits or limit coverage for particular procedures.

Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

An EOB is a statement from your insurance carrier explaining how a submitted claim was processed, including the amount covered by the plan and the amount assigned to the patient. An EOB is not a bill from the dental office.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

To help us review your insurance and prepare for your visit, please bring or provide:

Your dental insurance card or insurance information

A valid photo ID

Your referral slip, if your dentist provided one

Any recent dental X-rays, if available

Information about your current medications
